- NALCO inaugurated a first-of-its-kind indigenous pilot plant at its Research & Technology Centre in Bhubaneswar for processing fly ash and recovering value-added products and rare-earth elements.
- The pilot plant has a processing capacity of 50 kg per day and can recover materials including alumina, calcium silicate and rare-earth-enriched residue containing elements such as scandium.
