Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has issued the two most important announcements regarding recruitment for 2026. These openings are only for those who have passed the Haryana Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group C.

Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2026

This recruitment (Advt. No. 01/2026) aims to fill 5,500 vacancies in the State Police force.

  • Application Window: January 11 to January 25, 2026
  • Eligibility: 10+2 (Senior Secondary) pass + CET Group C Qualified
  • Age Limit: 18–25 years (as of Jan 1, 2026)
  • Salary: Level-3, Cell-I (₹21,700 – ₹69,100)

Physical Screening Test (PST)

  • Men: 2.5 km run to be completed in 12 minutes
  • Women: 1.0 km run to be finished in 6 minutes
  • Ex-servicemen: 1.0 km run in 5 minutes

HSSC Group C Mains Examination 2026

Through this notification (Advt. No. 02/2026), the recruitment drive is for 3,112 posts spread among different departments, both technical and non-technical.

  • Application Window: 2nd February to 15th February, 2026
  • Eligibility: CET Group C Qualified + Qualification specific to the post (ITI/Diploma/Degree)
  • Age Limit: 18–42 years

Written Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

In the case of Group C Mains exam, it is very specialized, and a big part is assigned to the specific field of the position.

Important Note: There is no negative marking in the written exam. However, if a candidate leaves a question completely blank (not even filling the 5th option), a deduction of 1 mark per question will occur.

Socio-Economic Criteria & Selection

The final merit list is determined not only by the written examination for both recruitments. HSSC gives extra points according to the socio-economic conditions:

  • Police Constable: Written Exam (97 marks) + NCC Certificate (3 marks)
  • Group C Mains: Written Exam (97.5%) + Socio-Economic Criteria (2.5%)

Socio-Economic Marks Eligibility

  • No family member working in the government
  • Widow or orphan candidates
  • Work experience in Haryana government departments (0.5 marks per year, max 4–8 marks depending on the position)
