The moment lakhs of aspiring teachers in Tamil Nadu have been waiting for is finally here. The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu has officially declared the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2025–2026 Result.

As of January 31, 2026, the result links for both Paper I and Paper II are live on the official website. Candidates who appeared for the examination in November 2025 can now check their qualifying status and download their scorecards online.

Revised Qualifying Marks: Important Update

The biggest update in the TNTET 2026 result is the revision of qualifying marks, aimed at increasing the number of eligible teachers.

• General Category: 60% (90 out of 150 marks)
• BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / PwD: Reduced to 50% (75 marks)
• SC / ST: Reduced to 45% (around 68 marks) or lower for ST

• Roll Number: Must match your admit card
• Section-wise Marks: CDP, Language I, Language II, and Subject
