1. Who We Are
PraveshExam is an exam-preparation product — comprising this website and the PraveshExam mobile app — designed and developed by Vigorsoft Software LLP, a limited liability partnership based in India. Vigorsoft Software LLP is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account & Profile Information
- Full name, mobile number, and email address (used to create and secure your account)
- Password (stored only as a salted hash — we never store or can view your plain-text password)
- Profile picture, preferred language, and preferred exam categories
- Communication preferences (e.g. whether you’ve opted in to marketing updates)
b. Learning & Activity Data
- Quiz, mock test, and daily quiz attempts, answers, scores, and timing
- Revision and flashcard progress, mastery scores, and review history
- Study plans, personalized schedules, and gamification data (badges, points, leaderboard rank)
c. Content You Provide
- Documents you upload for AI-assisted study kit generation, and the study material generated from them
- Messages you send to the AI tutor (“AI Revision Bot”) and the resulting chat history
- Community posts, comments, and attachments you choose to publish
- Any information you submit through our contact form or in support emails
d. Device & Technical Data
- Device identifiers and push-notification tokens (to deliver notifications to your device)
- IP address, browser/app version, and basic diagnostic logs (to secure and operate the service)
- Website usage data collected via cookies and analytics (see Section 4)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account, and authenticate you via OTP/password
- To provide the core product: quizzes, mock tests, revision tools, study plans, and the AI tutor
- To generate study material from documents you upload, using third-party AI providers (Section 4)
- To personalize content (language, recommended topics, difficulty) and show your leaderboard rank
- To send transactional notifications (OTPs, reminders, results) and, where you’ve opted in, marketing updates
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the platform secure (e.g. bot-verification at sign-up)
- To measure and improve the product using aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers, solely to operate PraveshExam:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging & OneSignal (Google LLC / OneSignal Inc.) — to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — to understand website usage in aggregate. You can opt out using your browser’s cookie settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — to verify you’re a human during sign-up and login, and prevent automated abuse.
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — to securely store uploaded documents, attachments, and profile pictures.
- AI providers (OpenAI) — documents you upload and messages you send to the AI tutor are sent to these providers solely to generate a response or study material; they are bound by their own data-processing terms and are not used by us to build unrelated products.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Beyond the service providers listed above, we disclose personal data only where required to (a) comply with a legal obligation, court order, or valid government request, (b) enforce our terms and protect the rights, property, or safety of PraveshExam, our users, or the public, or (c) with your explicit consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account (Section 9), we delete your personal data within the timelines described there, except where a short backup-purge window or a legal retention obligation applies.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), salted password hashing, and access controls that limit who inside Vigorsoft Software LLP can view your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correction: you can review and update most of your profile information directly in the app, under Profile settings.
- Marketing opt-out: you can disable marketing communications at any time from your notification preferences; we’ll still send essential transactional messages (e.g. OTPs, password resets).
- Access or portability requests: email us at [email protected] to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

If you are located in India, these choices are provided consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are located elsewhere and your local law grants you additional rights, we will honor them to the extent they apply to our processing of your data.
9. Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your PraveshExam account and associated data at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed, by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address (or including your registered mobile number) with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
What gets deleted
Once we verify your request, we permanently delete:
- Your profile: name, email, mobile number, password hash, and profile picture
- Your quiz, mock test, and daily quiz history, scores, and revision/flashcard progress
- Documents you uploaded, and any AI-generated study material derived from them
- Your AI tutor chat history and personalized study plans
- Community posts, comments, and attachments you authored
- Device push-notification tokens and notification history
- Gamification data (badges, points) and your leaderboard entry
What we may retain, and why
A small amount of data may be retained after deletion, strictly limited to:
- Backup systems: your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being purged on our standard backup-rotation schedule. It is not accessible through the product during this time.
- Legal & fraud-prevention records: where we are required to retain minimal records (e.g. to comply with a legal obligation or investigate abuse of the platform), we retain only what is necessary and for no longer than required by law.
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics: statistics that no longer identify you (e.g. “X users attempted this quiz”) are not personal data and are not deleted, since they cannot be linked back to you.
Timeline
We process account deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and associated data have been deleted.
10. Children’s Privacy
PraveshExam is intended for students preparing for competitive examinations and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. International Data Transfers
Vigorsoft Software LLP is based in India, and your data is primarily processed there. Some of the third-party providers listed in Section 4 (e.g. AWS, Google, AI providers) may process data on servers located outside India. Where this occurs, we rely on those providers’ own contractual and security safeguards to protect your data in transit and at rest.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide additional notice (e.g. an in-app notification or email).
